Over 10 years of relentless efforts since its establishment, SMC has made a strong transformation, reaching the 16th position in the FAST500 ranking in 2024. This milestone marks a significant step in SMC’s journey to assert its position in both the Vietnamese and international markets.
On April 24, 2024, SMC was honored to receive the award for being one of the Top 500 Fastest Growing Enterprises in Vietnam in 2024.
Amidst an economy shifting towards the “green economy” and circular economy for sustainable development, SMC quickly set a goal to both grow its business and contribute to maintaining and protecting the environment. With specific development strategies based on this goal, SMC has made significant contributions and left its mark in the renewable energy and green energy sectors with large-scale national and Southeast Asian projects.
Starting as a purely mechanical unit specializing in leasing construction machinery and managing equipment for hydropower and infrastructure projects, after more than 10 years of development, SMC is now one of the most reputable and high-quality companies in large-scale renewable energy projects (especially wind power), industrial, and infrastructure construction, as well as super-heavy transportation and heavy crane rentals.
Through its sustainable development strategy, SMC has affirmed its position in the construction of energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects.
The period from 2020 to 2023 marks a significant leap for SMC, with a tremendous growth rate. In 2021, the company’s revenue reached 2,668 billion VND, representing a 450% increase compared to 2020. Despite the heavy impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the post-pandemic economic downturn, SMC has demonstrated its exceptional capacity, as proven by its steadily increasing revenue and profit each year.
Especially in 2023, amidst global economic and political challenges that became major obstacles for both domestic and foreign businesses, the renewable energy sector faced turbulent “storms.” SMC also faced considerable challenges from the general difficulties in the market. However, the company still recorded a 13% revenue increase compared to 2022. These are proud achievements for SMC’s leadership and entire workforce.

The year 2023 is considered a pivotal milestone, marking SMC’s transition into a new phase. With its continuously expanding scale, SMC is gradually diversifying its business operations, strongly entering the super-heavy transportation sector—a specialized field requiring stringent international standards.
In 2023, SMC was honored to receive several prestigious domestic and international awards, such as “Top 5 Prominent Asia-Pacific Brands 2023” and “Top 5 Prominent Products and Services in Asia-Pacific 2023,” organized by the Asia-Pacific Economic Magazine. Notably, SMC officially entered the “Top 50 World’s Largest Specialized Transport Companies – IC50 Transport” ranking for the 19th time, published in the August 2023 edition of International Cranes and Specialized Transport.
