SMC affirms its oversized and overweight cargo logistics capabilities for the wind power sector
In the South Central Coast region, where harsh weather conditions constantly pose major challenges, SMC is steadily reinforcing its position as a specialized provider of oversized and overweight cargo logistics for the renewable energy industry.
On February 12, 2026, the vessel E-SHIP 1 arrived at Trung Nam Ca Na International Port, bringing wind turbine blades into the next stage of the turnkey logistics chain implemented by SMC. Just a few days later, on February 23, 2026, the port welcomed another vessel carrying GE Vernova wind turbine blades, marking an accelerated pace of operations from the very beginning of the year.
From the very beginning of the year, Trung Nam Ca Na International Port has been bustling with consecutive arrivals of vessels carrying wind turbine blades.
Throughout the execution process, components measuring dozens of meters in length were discharged using specialized equipment under strict supervision of load capacity, lifting points, and safety procedures. This demonstrated the SMC team’s strong operational capability, risk control, and on-site coordination in high-specification wind power equipment transportation projects.
A turnkey oversized and overweight logistics chain from port to project site
Beyond cargo handling at the port, SMC also deployed an integrated end-to-end operation chain covering vessel reception, cargo discharge, yard storage, coordination of specialized transport vehicles, and delivery of equipment to the project site in Khanh Hoa Province.

After being discharged from the vessel, the blades were loaded onto specialized transport vehicles in accordance with standardized procedures that fully met technical and safety requirements. Yard storage operations were scientifically arranged to ensure structural stability of the equipment while maintaining readiness for the next transportation stages.
All activities were carried out in line with the approved execution plan, helping minimize risks and ensure safety for both equipment and personnel under all operating conditions.
