In August 2022, SMC participated in the maintenance of wind blades at Dong Hai 1 – Tra Vinh wind power project.

SMC has collaborated with experts from Siemens Gamesa to successfully remove the wind blades that need maintenance and is highly appreciated by Siemens Gamesa for safety work, technical options, working attitude and completion schedule.

Before carrying out the implementation, SMC’s technical team checked, analyzed and planned detailed implementation to ensure the safest, most effective, fast and economical.

SMC's mission

SMC has mobilized special equipment to participate in this work, the 14,000 MT barge duo, which took part in the dismantling of the blades and the 7,688 MT transport barges to bring the blades to the gathering place for inspection and maintenance.

The barge is integrated with specialized cranes to participate in maintenance such as crawler crane 1250MT used to remove and install blades, small tonnage cranes such as crawler crane 250 MT and crawler crane 55 MT supported.

A pair of crawler cranes 1250 MT on 2 barges are used to support the front and rear parts of the blade, then lower and place on the transport barge.
